Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of the NephroLife mobile app and the NephroLife doctor portal. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them.
1. What NephroLife is
NephroLife is a companion tool for people on haemodialysis to record dialysis sessions, weights, fluids, symptoms, medications and lab results, and to view simple summaries and diet guidance. The doctor portal lets a patient's chosen nephrologist view that patient's data and record clinical notes. NephroLife is a record-keeping and monitoring aid, not a medical device.
2. Not medical advice
NephroLife does not provide medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. Summaries, flags, diet guidance and AI-generated text are for general information only and may be incomplete or inaccurate. Always consult your nephrologist or dialysis team before making any decision about your treatment, diet, fluids or medication. In an emergency, contact your doctor or local emergency services.
3. Your account and responsibilities
- You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you enter.
- You are responsible for keeping your login credentials and device secure.
- You must be at least 13 years old (or the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction) to use NephroLife.
4. Doctor portal
The doctor portal is for use by qualified healthcare professionals. A doctor can view the data of patients who have linked to them and record clinical notes. Doctors are responsible for their own clinical decisions and for complying with applicable professional and legal obligations.
5. Plans and payment
NephroLife offers a free tier that is never gated, a patient Pro plan (billed monthly or yearly), and a Clinic plan for doctors and clinics (billed monthly, after a 30-day free trial). Prices are shown in the app and on our website. Payments are processed by Google Play Billing (Android in-app purchases) and Razorpay (web). Cancellations and refunds are governed by our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
6. Acceptable use
- Do not misuse the service, attempt to breach its security, or disrupt it for others.
- Do not use NephroLife to store data you are not authorised to hold, or to harm others.
7. Availability
The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind. We cannot guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we may add, change or remove features. Please keep your own backups of critical information.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, NephroLife is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for decisions made in reliance on the app or portal without appropriate medical guidance.
9. Termination
You may stop using NephroLife and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
